To live a symbolic life means to find a deeper meaning beyond literal translations. When we see our experiences through this lens we hear the universe, and own inner beings, communicating with us through the language of symbols.

Symbols appear to us in our dreams, in our waking lives, in meditation, in stories and art, and in all of our relational spaces. We may repeatedly see certain numbers or animals; find dimes or feathers; spot shapes in clouds or patterns in nature; have a whole variety of seemingly bizarre characters and objects turn up in our dreamtime; or pull the same angel or oracle card over and over again.

To ignore the deeper meaning of these is to miss out on wisdom that is trying to be shared with you far beyond the facts of your thinking mind.

There is a path laid out for each of us by Divinity. Symbols are the signposts that are a part of guiding our way.

In this 9-month teaching, discussion & discovery group, we will delve into what it means to live a symbolic life.

We will work with:
  • dreams and waking encounters;
  • archetypes and other aspects of the collective conscience;
  • myths and fairy tales;
  • and using symbols as gateways for healing, journey work, and non-ordinary experiences.

We will learn and practice:
  • tools for symbolic interpretation;
  • intuitive ways of listening to symbols;
  • means of active exploration like constellating dreams and experiences;
  • dream journaling and keeping a symbolic encounters log book.

Your learning will be supplemented by a recording of a seasonally relevant myth or fairy tale and symbolic analysis. And each meet-up you will have a community to share your dreams and encounters with, validating this way of being in the world that is otherwise so neglected by our so-called “normal reality”!
